چکیده

The progressively improved sensing sensitivity (Î?λSPR/Î?n, nm/RIU) to detect the refractive index is observed on SPR platform of an Au-covered epoxy gratings in increase potential cycling a typical three-electrode cell. Here, DVD-R optical disc was used as structure template prepare gratings, and newly formed reverse track pitch substrate working electrode directly aqueous sulfuric acid solution. It expected that Au reconstruction by electrolyte increases packing density atoms grain boundary improves propagation electromagnetic waves. Improved sensitivity of wavelength-modulated surface plasmon resonance biosensor using gold nanorods.

In this report, gold nanorods (GNRs) were used to enhance the sensitivity of the wavelength-modulated surface plasmon resonance (SPR) biosensor. The GNRs were designed and fabricated through seed-medicated growth and surface activation by a layer of a weak polyelectrolyte, poly(acrylic acid) for the attaching antibody. Rabbit anti-goat IgG was immobilized on GNRs, and sandwich assays were carri...

Optimization of Sensitivity and Stability of Gold/Silver bi-Layer Thin Films Used in Surface Plasmon Resonance Chips

The aim of this study is experimental assay of sensitivity and stability of a bimetallic silver/gold SPR sensor chip. This chip utilizes the sensitivity of the silver and the stability of the gold. Moreover, the Silver layer (instead of usual Cr or Ti layer) was used as an adhesive intermediate layer between the Gold layer and the glass substrate. The optimization of the Gold/Silver thickness u...

Effect of varying electric potential on surface-plasmon resonance sensing.

The high sensitivity of surface-plasmon resonance (SPR) sensors allows measurements of small variations in surface potentials to be made. We studied the changes of the SPR angle when an oscillating electric potential was applied to a gold film on which surface plasmons were excited. The shifts of the SPR resonance angle were observed for various aqueous solutions as an adjacent medium. A model ...

Hydrogen sensing by localized surface plasmon resonance in colloidal solutions of Au-WO3-Pd

Nowadays, hydrogen has attracted significant attention as a next generation clean energy source. Hydrogen is highly flammable, so detection of hydrogen gas is required. Gold nanoparticle based localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) is an advanced and powerful sensing technique, which is well known for its high sensitivity to surrounding refractive index change in the local environment. We p...

Localized surface plasmon resonance spectroscopy and sensing.

Localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) spectroscopy of metallic nanoparticles is a powerful technique for chemical and biological sensing experiments. Moreover, the LSPR is responsible for the electromagnetic-field enhancement that leads to surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) and other surface-enhanced spectroscopic processes. This review describes recent fundamental spectroscopic stud...
